Terms of Use and Licence

Last updated October 11, 2026

Who we are

This site is run by Rooted Development LLC (“Rooted Development”, “we”), 11 Kendall Street, Portland, ME 04103. Questions: support@rooted-development.com.

What you are getting

When you buy access, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read the months of curriculum you have bought, and to print or download the materials the site offers (activity printouts, family newsletters and email templates), for use in your own classroom or program.

Who may use an account

  • An account is for one named person. Don’t share your sign-in or let anyone else use it.
  • You can use your account on one device at a time. Signing in on a new device signs you out of the previous one.
  • If your organization bought access (for example, a school), the people your organization’s administrator invites may use that organization’s months. Administrators can add and remove people in their organization.

What you may do

  • Teach from the curriculum with the children in your care.
  • Print the printouts the site offers, and share the family newsletters with the families in your program.

What you may not do

  • Copy, photograph, screenshot, scrape, download or otherwise extract the curriculum text or pictures, other than the printouts and downloads the site offers.
  • Share, resell, post, distribute or publish the curriculum, or give others access to it.
  • Remove the “Licensed to” line from printouts or the watermark from the screen, or try to get around the site’s protections.
  • Use the curriculum to build another product, or to train software or AI systems.

Ownership

The curriculum, text, pictures, songs and layout belong to Rooted Development LLC or its licensors. Buying access does not transfer ownership, only the licence above.

Ending access, and refunds

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing it. If your plan ends, you lose access to the months it covered. All sales are final: we do not give refunds.

No guarantees

We work to keep the site available and the content accurate, but we provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for access in the last 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we will ask you to agree again the next time you sign in.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA.
